Cheaper too, but there is no thrill of the hunt for those. Got a possible lead on 4 magazine(s) now. 3 more to go

MAT-49's are rare and parts are also pretty rare.

PPS-43's/PPSH-41's are fun and running them in 9mm Parabellum is cool. I agree with the aforementioned that PPs-42 folding stocks are rubbish, however the wooden post war ones are good.

Swedish K's are great, but I am partial to Sterlings! I honestly believe it to be the world's most reliable sub gun, though some people dislike horizontal magazine placement. Parts kits are still widely available.

MP-40's are fun and very smooth.

I think your budget will open you up to quite a few options.

Ya the mag's are a bit of a bummer. Going to try to see if the dealer if can aquire actual magazines or it will a no go for me. John Andrewski just finished my M3 Medea and it is going to be parkerize it this week. I have a verbal agreement to but a Hotchkiss Universal Parts Kit though it is missing a charging handle and recoil spring ( to be a SBRed). So a stuff is happening, just wanted something unique and different than "common," transferable stuff.
