Was offered a transferable MAT-49 for 34,000 with a dealer premium,* which seems about right.* Spare parts seem rather plentiful,* but there seems to be a utter lack of available magazines.* Thoughts?

Anything in particular you like about it?
More than the folding novelty?

9mm Greasegun vibe. Just smooth like a mp40, but the stock is better and drilling out the rear sight is way better. It’s never gonna be a CFW A bolt in a m11/9 but it’s that smooth. For an all metal iron sighted 9mm subgun you can’t ask for much more

They seem to be relatively uncommon, kinda of torn between a MAT-49 or a PPS-43

All fair, I have a Medea Corp Grease Gun shell being finished up at some point, wanted a 9mm SMG too. There is a relatively inexpensive Madson M-50 available, a Swedish K and this MAS-49 all up for sale currently.

Fair enough. Kinda of a deal breaker without the mags. Someone sent me a link for a French auction site that lots of Mat-49 stuff on it but all the magazines had one feed lip ground off to meet demil requirements

MAT-49 mags are out there. The hunt is part of the game.
