With your '28 Thompson you don't really need a stick mag loader - just shoot drums (which a very easy to load)!I just took possession of a NAC (Savage) 1928 a few weeks ago so this is timely for me. That RAE loader looks pretty slick. At $35 shipped I'll definitely give it a shot.

In any case, enjoy many fun and safe shooting times with your Thompson!
Same drum for semi and full auto. Here's what you want for a "shooter" drum:Curious about drums.
Are some of them rated full auto and some semi?
Never have been clear on that.

Thanks! As far as drums vs box mags I do have both. I've got an original L drum and three reproduction drums. I haven't shot the original but the repros run great. And as fun as they are, I've found that I shoot the 30 round sticks more often. They're less of a commitment! 😁With your '28 Thompson you don't really need a stick mag loader - just shoot drums (which a very easy to load)!

Big Question is "does it work as shown?"
