make them jump through some hoops for a CHANGE!!!

YEP YEP....Thats how I feel about it also!!! (although "feelings" is actually an emotional thang, and I DONT DO EMOTIONS!) but anyhoo.... I ONLY joined the NRA for a headcount in the last prez elec and just LOOK what that STILL might get us!

And as JIMBO puts it: "Kind of makes you want to be prepared and ready to speak up for yourself and surround yourself with likeminded believers. "

THAT I totally agree with JIMBO! But how that gets done in todays societal issues of jealousy etc etc etc I dunno! Guess we'll just have to wait until we're NEEDED.

BUT (and YOU ALL) can mark my word, WE THE PEOPLE WILL be called upon again to unfortunately "water the tree with blood" so that WE may live FREE....

We are need NOW. Law obiding gun owners of America is a huge and powerful force. If there is some way to light a fire under each one of them they would be a tremendous force to be dealt with. IMHO the average gun owner has opinions but lacks PASSION. They for the most part are waiting for somebody ELSE to do the work. Heck, most gun owners don't even VOTE. Laziness and Apathy has infected the ranks. The gun grabbers are passionate, committed, organized and backed by huge sums of money, Millions of left wing dollars. We have the answers on paper. Expecting someone else to get it all done...blaming the NRA for wasting our dues...nothing but excuses. This subject chaps my hide like no other. As we look at the national gun debate, once again it is a few doing the work of many while the lazy ones sit back and complain that not enough is being done to protect our rights. Look first at yourself....what are you doing on a local, regional, national level to further the cause for our 2nd Amend. rights ?

In Northern VA, you may want to try Shooter's Paradise in Woodbridge. They are in the Marumsco Plaza at 13979 Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1). You can reach them by phone at 703-491-4867. Their hours are M-F 10-9, Sat 9-9 and Sun 12-7. I have been shooting handguns there for years. This is also where I plan to shoot my Vector Uzi (when I get it, which probably won't be until this fall). I have asked them before about shooting SMGs there and they said it was fine. Good luck. :)

:welcome I am sure you will find over time just how valuable this forum can be. You have already done your part in showing the important info that can be exchanged here. Thanks for the heads regarding a place to shoot in Virginia. I know there has been another member interested in places to shoot since the NRA range was giving him grief regarding his FA weapons. Shooters Paradise seems like a great place. I hope you enjoy UZITalk forums as much as we all have and thanks again for your suggestion. Please take a minute to stop by our board names section and introduce yourself.

SMG4ME -- Thanks. Someone else here recommended that place as well. I called and they said no problem shooting a smg there. And no resrictions either. The place near Dulles restricts you to no more than 5 round bursts.

Why that certainly makes sense. Can you imagine how dangerous it would be if people were allowed to cut loose with deadly "six-round bursts"! :rolleyes

Hey, I'd take 5 round bursts over what the NRA wanted me to do -- come at 2:00 in the afternoon on a certian weekday. If I had to take a day off from work everytime i want to shoot, I'd be out of vacation time fast.

NH Gun laws and the NRA

New Hampshire is an island in the edge of a Gun Control ivested sea called Taxachusetts. I was a NH resident for over 20 years, but as more and more people (many but not all with corrupted values) head North it will only be a matter of time before it wil change IMHO. New Hampshire is indead a great state, but when you flush the waste goes south.

I did not realize the NRA had left Class3 ownership out in the cold. More people need to speak up to the NRA on this issue and tell them to stop compromising the 2nd amendment. Unfortunatley there are only 3 million NRA members and the NRA is really the only effective Pro-Gun Org. How many battles could be won if everyone got invovled? The old proverb by Rev. Martin Niemoller is oh so true. All gunowners must stick together. Lets get some Class 3 owners on the board of directors!

Didn't you all know that 5 rounds is the cut off point between what is controllable and what is not. They must figure if you shot 6 round bursts or more they would end up in the ceiling. Must be some sort of CYA, PC BS.
