Dave,

I just saw your FB post. Congratulations! I'm excited to see the book after all these years. I think it was following the Fall 2006 Knob Creek that we spent 3 hours in my car, discussing the book project. I'm glad to have had a very small part in its production. The book is going to be very well received. I just ordered my signed copy.

Thanks, and again....CONGRATULATIONS!

David, you've known about this project longer than just about anyone and have been a great help and supporter ever since the start. For anyone that doesn't know David Albert, he's an amazing expert on the Thompson Submachine gun, having done a lot of research and writing in that area, as well as running the machinegunboards.com forum for Thompson enthusiasts. David shares my love for books and manuals, and gave me encouragement throughout this project. Thanks David!

Damn Dave, I really don't need more stuff but how could I not order this? Any rate, I just ordered one (signed) and can't wait to look through it! Looks like THE perfect UZI reference! I don't see on Pay Pal that is a signed copy but I did click on that tab! Thanks for making this great UZI book!

The cost of the book is the least of your problems. The question is - what are you going to want to buy after you read about what's in the book??? I think the book has a good mix of pure historical content, cool factor stuff (like protoypes), and practical stuff like identifying parts and having references for part numbers and sizes. It should be a good reference no matter what your interest is. (and a good shopping list for you!)

The option to have it signed is on the library page before you click the paypal button. You order came through as being a signed copy, no worries.

Yeah, since I have decided I have too much stuff, I tend to think before I buy anything. I used to see a gun and I just bought it.....now I think long and hard whether I need to spend the money. It has been over a year since I have bought another gun, I can still afford most anything I want but eventually it is going to catch up with me since I am close to retirement, whenever I decide to take the leap.

I'm sure I'll have many hours of reading enjoyment from this book.

Book status: I received confirmation today that I will receive the books late next week, so I'll be able to ship out pre-orders the following week as planned.

Very exciting...I can't wait to finally see it in analog form!

Again, congratulations on the new book, Dave. You put a lot into it over the years, and now it's time to sign a bunch of books, take a step back, and enjoy. I predict this will be a very popular Mowbray book...Up there with the Canfield books. After this, Stuart will want to explore what other modern firearms remain to be written about, rather than the rusty antiques that he usually features. I can say that because I'm a member of the same Society as Stuart is that favors such firearms, even though many members are closet machine gunners, as well. (I think I only own one pre-1898 firearm in my collection, and it was inherited...) ;-)

The first shipment of books has arrived! It's going to take me some time to work through all the pre-orders and I won't be able to ship them all at once, so please be patient. I'll get them out as quickly as I can.
