Updates......hmm. I think I have some stuff worth adding here, although I have had just about enough of 2020. It has been the year of perpetual setbacks in every imaginable way.

In other news, I have taken the advice of beta testers as well as other concerned parties and made some changes to the final UM10 design.
-The charging handle has been moved down on the left side about 1/2" and employs a folding charging handle with spring detents to keep everything in place.
-The ejection port was left the same size but a variable helix was milled around it to keep ejecting brass from hitting the receiver and bouncing back into the gun.
This was only a problem with larger cases (45 acp, 450 BM, 458 SOCOM, etc) but it is now alleviated.
-The engraving has been removed.
-ACR, CZ, HK, and Zhukov stock adapters are finalized and are being machined. The mac in the picture has my ACR fixed stock adapter on it. CDNN has these same Magpul fixed stocks for a reasonable price and since I don't care if it folds or not, it made for a nice addition to the M10.

Also:
The 7.62x39 M10 belt fed upper construction has started. More on this in a separate thread.
The M11 and M11/9 Ultimac machining has begun.
I'm working on getting a larger, faster HAAS VMC so I can make parts faster than my current Hurco cnc.

Hopefully the rest of this year and 2021 will bring some good news for all of the Mac owners out there.

I felt this was a humorous and accurate description of this upper project.
I would probably already be selling parts if I quit being so picky about the details. :)

Great.

Just waiting like everyone else :)

Glad 2020 has kinda sorta stayed out of the way with this progress.

But been a weird one for sure and we got two more months of it!

ETA:
Ya know yer gonna have to start that 7.62x39 thread now that you mentioned it.

Ya know with lots of pix and all.

Hell yeah man!

Are you planning to salt some of those stock adapters out as time goes? If I never run my 45 upper anymore I wouldn't have to worry about the TASK setup and I could run cool stuff like a Zhukov stock!

In ten years people will say, "Remember 2020?"

All the MAC lovers will say, "Hell Yeah! Best year ever! That was the year the UltiMac came out."

Fantastic work! Thanks for the update and especially for taking the time to do it right. I do have a couple questions...

Do you have a list of all the available magwell options yet?

Is the concept that people would purchase an upper and choose their magwell to go with it or swap out different magwells (and barrels, bolt/BCG, handguard, etc.)? I just can't imagine the latter being very convenient.

In the picture it looks like a grease gun magwell for a gun that already takes grease gun mags through the grip...any reason for that?

It's cheap enough that people could just build multiple uppers, but otherwise they order it with the magwell they want and swap it around to other magwells/calibers as they see fit and as funds allow.

The external greasegun magwell on a gun that already accepts greasegun mags is because I'm using the CMMG delayed blowback 45 acp bolt and barrel (known as the Banshee or Guard)
This gives me a very soft shooting gun, a slow (and somewhat adjustable) rate of fire, and very little weight addition.
It sounds (and looks) silly at first, until you shoot it.

Since the M11 and M11/9 will have the same option, it means you can safely shoot 45acp or 10mm out of your baby mac or anorexic mac.

Thank you!!

Is there an eta?

Hurry n take my money please!!!

I have always been hesitant to put any hard dates down because of the R&D and the ATF.
This year alone has shown good reasons why.
As a result, I maintain that they will be available soon, at this point it is largely a matter of when I can get my new CNC machining center.

As much as I'd love to be showered with other people's money, I can't do it until I have all the mechanical and legal bases covered.

Nice to see the solid progress.

Any word on the M11A1 version?

Yup.
I've got a subgun match to go to this weekend and once I get back from that, I get to hit the BGGB (Big Green GO Button) on my Hurco and turn a slab of aluminum into a big pile of chips and a really small upper.

I am.
A very helpful UT member has finally helped me get the ball rolling on a website, that way I can actually list the stuff I have sitting here for sale.
Stock adapters, thread adapters, unusual barrels (7.62 tok and 9mm mak for instance), and so forth.

All of the aforementioned stock adapters are for both the m11 and m10 platform.
