I've heard and read a lot about The Duke, including that MAC wanted his endorsement and he declined, but I either missed this one or forgot it.
Either way, the days of that kind of fortitude (and lack of prosecution, lawsuits, and legislation!) are long gone.

Yeah, supposedly he was real interested in investing w them at one point, but them almost killing him put the brakes solidly on that. You get the feeling the MAC had a genius firearms designer (Ingram) a larger then life promoter (Werbelle) and a literally fucking idiot everyone else LoL.

Can you imagine how history could have changed if John Wayne was an investor....

Saddest part is the pix of the m10 with the bowers can and dishwasher hose to replicate a orginal 2 stage.

Who would have thought that iconic look meant so much to the mac lore that they are hard to find and a gun rag had to try to replicate it off the cuff.

A gun rag that probably has connections and contacts.

Decent article though.

Or killed by mishandled MAC 10.

Hollywood would have found another guy like him to pretend to be a hero on-film.
Wonder if that guy would also have been an alcoholic?

Something tells me the John Wayne connection wouldn’t have panned out. Aside from Green Berets, his movies were overwhelmingly Westerns. Lots of folks who love the Winchesters and Spensers and single-action Remington .44s associated with films depicting that era are not fans of “black guns” like the MACs.

But I could be wrong. Perhaps the film icon giving his blessing would have created a storm of purchasers.

Just sad, so sad it's funny.

Fakie two stage. One thing I hate is repops. and I really hate poorly done ropops.

All ya need is a crappy can and some dishwasher drain hose yer all set.
