The Last (?) Grail Gun - 12G FRT

I’ve always wanted a 12G full auto. I looked at a couple transferables over the years but they’re $$$ and usually tube fed. The Mac upper never materialized as hoped

This 12G just passed a manual function test and I’ll probably try a live fire tmw. It’s so safe that it’s super safe. A fast firing 12G has been my last grail gun. JTS M12AR

A fast fire machine pistol and 12G have been made real with FRTs 😀. Hopefully the 12G works

Nice! I have one as well. I printed the trip. Yours looks metal, where from? Mine ran off and on. Never perfect. It is a party though!

Thought about doing my S12 SBS but it runs so slick I'm really afraid to screw with it.

I haven’t tried shooting this gun semi (no-FRT) so I’m rolling the dice with the FRT first

No big deal that is how I did the TX22 the AR 30 carbine and every transferable I've owned.
Hold the trigger back and send it!
It will either run or it won't.

Videos from reddit have the ROF as 605 RPM. They say the v6 muzzle brake from Carolina shooter supply is helpful.

If I remember. I was getting 650rpm with the factory buffer.

Which i guess with a metal bolt insert it may contribute a little to slowing it down

So far the gun only worked with slugs. I’ll try swapping springs and the buffer to see if I can get it working with other loads.

It might also just need a break in

This video makes me think a Mini Kabuto would work with it. If it works with the RareGreed, it'd probably work with a Mini Kabuto

Do you enlarge the gas port in the barrel and also the ports on the gas plug?

Any tips on SBSing these as far as a good barrel length? Is there a length it can be cut too without having to do additional gas or other work?

I was dubious about the quality but it’s impressed me. It’s higher quality than the price justifies (so far)

I had a bit of work to get my S12 to run to cheap wally world low brass federal stuff.
Now it is all I shoot for paper and turning money into noise.

I know nothing of the shotty in the vid so the only advice I can give is polish everything up inside the moves and makes contact with another part.
I mean a mirror finish where you can see yourself in it.
I used the stones I linked to in the sten thread with the funky sear in the sterling sub forum.
For anything that had tooling marks.
A 6 inch rosin wheel after that.
Then a dremmel with the felt drum and more red rosin.

I had to do other work Tony Rumour of famed Tromix helped me on the saiga forum since his yearly list for conversions were booked up.
Thankfully I did NOT have to open up the gasport.
Tromix wanted everything else tried before I did that since on a S12 the larger the gas port the more plastic it shaves off into the system and leads to long term reliability problems down the rd. if you shoot them a lot.
And I do.

Some people are grafting the 5rd mags onto other 12G drums

They are pretty good to be honest. The recievers are aluminum of course and there thicker than any mossbergs. I have about 7k rounds of light to medium ammo on one.
