Tavor sights

I just noticed that we are now Galil and Tavor Talk, woohoo!

Anyways, what sight are you planning to put on your Tavor? I'm leaning towards an Aimpoint T1 with 2 MOA dot. Buddy of mine is getting a Trijicon RMR. What's your poison?

I was hoping uzi talk would add a Tavor section, so this is very exciting. As for optics, I am also leaning towards the T1. I also gave some thought to the Trijicon RMR and SRS. I have no first hand experience with any of them, but have owned an Aimpoint in the past, which I liked.

I'm planning on putting a RMR with a green triangle on it. I really like green and I like the idea of the triangle but I have no experience with it so I'm hoping it will work out.

The difficulty seems to be figuring out the right mount height but ADM seems to be the only one making a good mount for the RMR so I'll have to get used to it.

Eotech. I don't know much about the meprolight sights, I would imagine they're pretty good. I sold a rifle and have an Eotech just waiting for the new Tavor!

Meprolight is part of the SK group which IWI belongs to. I am pretty sure the Tavor was designed to be used with the Meprolight type 21 reflex sight. I also heard that the tritium that Meprolight uses is made at the IDUMIL factory in Colombia, South America (also part of IWI). http://www.meprolight.com/ The Guatemalan, Colombian and Honduran military all have the Meprolight reflex sights as standard equipment on their Tavor's.

I personally use Trijicon products TA31 RCO & RX01 NSN and they have earned my trust. But if where to buy a Tavor in near future I think I will go with the Meprolight just because that is what I think IWI engineers had in mind for optics when designing the Tavor. Good luck! Lou

My 16.5" FDE version should arrive on Friday. I've got an EOTech EXPS3-2 (tan finish) and will likely get the G33 3x magnifier to go with it. Should be fun.

I was very pleased with the Tavor on Sunday. The Aimpoint worked well. The trigger isn't bad, or at least not as bad as I expected. I went to the indoor range and accuracy at 25 yards was as good as I could make it. No troubles with the Tavor except it didn't like the Wolf steel case. The Privi .223 worked great, but the Wolf failed to eject. Seemed under powered, although it worked fine in my SIG 556 SBR.
