I have both patterns. I invest in both types of magazines. I understand that 9mm stick UZI/Colt mags cut for both will hang up on the AR mag catch slot passing by the UZI mag catch going in/out so I haven't spent any time or $$ trying to convert mags to run for each.

I got in on the RTG mags when they were 5 bux a mag for the 50 packs.
Almost none need the refinish they were advertised to need.
Now the 50 pack is 8 bux each and advertised with rust.
The good ole days have come and gone!

Rich

I bought the 50 pack at $8ea with rust. They run like a champ and give the gun some character when they are in it

At eight bucks a mag, these are still the good old days! Buy 'em cheap, and stack 'em deep.

I recall a dozen or more years ago, a number of us here engaged in a group purchase and obtained 32 round IMI Uzi mags for the unheard of price of only $36 each. At that time, 32 round mags were hard to find and expensive. How many other mags in any condition are available for eight bucks? Don't overlook the 25 round mags. They'll dry up eventually. They're great mags and I prefer them for general range plinking. They help limit the damage newbies can do to your ammo supply. ;)

Where is the best (most reasonable) place to buy 25 rd mags?
I'm starting to shoot USPSA PCC class with mine.
Thanks

Yep. DSA had the best price and condition 25 round mags back in the day. Of course we were buying NIB, FS, FA Vectors for $2500. You were a sucker if you paid the full retail price of 3 thousand. The guns have increased in price by ten thousand dollars, but the mags have gotten less expensive.

Given that somewhere around 10 million Uzis have been produced world wide, I'll bet we'll see more imported.

So called "commercial production" usually meant they weren't for specific military contracts, but LEO etc. The main difference I always saw was the finish. These were typically semi gloss painted as opposed to parked or blued. The mags supplied by Action Arms back in the good old days were by and large like this.
The price is a bit on the high side for used compared to other deals on milsurp but performance wise they're fine. Be forewarned, they may look like crap as the paint will be scraped off in places. They normally run 100% though. These happen to be my personal favorites as I prefer painted since the rust issue is almost non existent. About 10 years ago I bought like 20 of these unused from a guy here on UT for around $12/each. At the time the German unissued milsurp were like $8.
