I consider them to be the most fun and reliable semi 22LR guns out there. I have since sold all my 10/22s. The 15-22 will fire 950-1000 rounds suppressed without cleaning. I consider the mags to be one of the most reliable on the market. It would be nice if someone figures out how to make a super safe and trip for one.

My old old old old CMMG kit has been phenomenal. It was kinda rough early on with it. Once the phosphate wore in its been fantastic. Probably 5,000+ rounds between cleanings. Gets disgusting for sure but keep ticking. Way more reliable than my old Marlin Model 50 that apparently needs a chamber scrub every 100 rounds or it can't chamber the round.

I have the CMMG in a 4" upper. Still put rounds on 10" steel plates at 120 yards easily. It's not going to win any accuracy competitions but it'll run 2/3gun stages!

The black dog mags have treated me well. No complaints between AR 22LR and Sig 522.

I have a cmmg 22 conversion. I use bore buddy weights, buffer, extractor spring, charging handle insert, buffer plug, and super safety trip. The trip is adjustable, it is a very stupid design to make it adjustable. Just a micro screw that needs unscrewed quite a bit. Mine walked off.
All of that was fairly expensive for a inaccureate 22 that is reliable with select ammunition.
The Borebuddy site says:

Adjustable for length by loosening the locknut and adjusting the small screw length to change the leg length until good reset is acheieved. This can account for SS tolerance issues and/or cam wear.

Did yours not come with a nut to lock the screw length?

Scott

ETA, if you are having accuracy issues with the AR higher twist rate barrel, have you thought of using 60 grain subsonic ammo? Aguila makes https://www.aguilaammo/ 60 grain subsonic using longer bullets on .22 short shells. Just a thought for those using AR barrels with 1/7, 1/8, or 1/9 twist rate barrels.

Yes mine came with the locknut. I set it and used blue loktite. The bolt is the diameter of pencil lead, so cant get it super tight.
I tried some subs (might try the aguila). But they didnt have enough energy to reliably cycle. Will probably convert it to a dedicated with a 22 barrel.

I need to get one to try

Doesn’t seem like they’re a learning curve like the other things on the market. At least from the vids I’ve seen.

it seems that you just have to have constant pressure on the trigger finger to get them to work.
If I’m right, would the gov consider that one action of the trigger finger and try to ban them like everything else? At least bump stocks won.

Very little learning curve. I tried to pull the trigger hard to bog it down like the other FRTs but the SS worked.

I would say zero learning curve for firing it. The cam action is smooth. The recoil masks the trigger feel. I have shot a WOT and it rattled my finger.
The law is in regards to the triggers function. Which the atf has tried adding "single function of the trigger and analogous motions" to outlaw these. Which it failed (and would have made it illegal to bumpfire a gun or possibly prevent Jerry Miculek from shooting again). From a practical perspective, i would argue that it is nearly as practical as a mg. Not different enough to be noticeable though. From a legal perspective (not a lawyer), i think binary is more sketchy then frt. Just my opinion

well here I am !!

I love my Rare Breed and Alamo FRTs but the trick is to pull the trigger so softly
And to shoot singles you have to get of the trigger so fast or it doubles

I did find a vendor whose inventory is made from D2tool steel for hardness
he has AK Super safeties as well
After i get my order for these i wll sell all my Alamos,Para15s, and FRT's!!!

Glad to hear from you Haris. You are going to flip out at how much better the select fire SS's are. Start packing the RB and Alamo FRTs to sell on Gun Broker. With the $ people are paying, you should be able to buy 3X as many of the Greymarketresearch Supersafety's.

Be sure to watch the videos on how to tune the SS to your lowers. Once they are dialed in, you will buy more.

I am super excited to get my orders for these. Alsa exciting is that Lee who is making a AR15 type lower for MP5 clones will accept the super safety
and opens up another market and I think there is a AK47 super safety

I got one in yesterday and installed it on an A.R. 15 lower. Had some bolt binding and couldn’t get it to run 100% without messing with it a little bit. Removed it and installed it in a KS-47 (AR-15 in 7.62x39) and it ran 100% from the start.

My CMMG 45 banshee and SS were running 98% and it was starting to bum me out. I removed a little more from the top of the paddle and it was running perfectly this morning. 6- 30 round mags ran flawlessly. My 45 SMG craving is fulfilled.

Ordered a 3 pack no triggers for 105 shipped from deeznuts last month while the sale was on.
Printed a trigger jig last week.
I have to start profiling a trigger then off into a AR 30 carbine.
should be a hoot the 30 carbine has about as much kick as a AR 22 LR.

From what I have seen. The bolt binding is usually due to the trigger not being ground enough. If it binds in standard semi mode, definitely needs trigger ground. If it bimds only in super safe mode, then just light grinding. If it is only 98% like Strobo's, then sand the lever.

recently I added a SS in a dedicated SBR lower with a Cmmg style 5.7x28mm upper and it runs 100% too.

I’m now working on a .22lr Cmmg upper with a GMR .22lr kit with a 3rd dedicated SS lower. I have a 4.5” upper and a 7” upper and I hope to get at least 1 of them up and running.

My GMR 3D printed trip and paddles stopped working within 200 rds with a 4.5" suppressed upper. The 3D printed parts just don't last. I would try the 9-12" barrel upper with the Borebuddy metal SS trip and CMMG solid stainless steel bolt weight. Let us know the progress.
