I do have some questions for the trailblazers.
1. Given this set up, what would be the most common malfunctions and probable causes? Did you experience FTE, FTF or something else?
2. If you needed to adjust the BoreBuddy trip, which way did you go and why? (Advance the trip, retard the trip?).
3. Did you initially test with the non-adjustable CMMG antibounce weight, have issues, then find success with the BoreBuddy adjustable weight? I ask as a LOT of folks running these per StroBro's spreadsheet are running the BoreBuddy adjustable weight, and yet their weight combinations are all over the place. It makes me wonder if they really needed that adjustable weight.
4. Extractor and spring. Seems like a lot of folks are using hardened extractors and stronger springs. Is this driven by performance of the standard parts with the SS installed? I ask as I've been running standard CMMG extractors / springs on a FA M16A1, thousands of rounds, no issues.
I know there is some trial and error here but I'm trying to keep this simple and reliable without just adding expensive and possibly unnecessary components.
1. Trigger over live round in the chamber, caused by bolt bounce. Many people mistakenly call this "light primer strike." Solution, seek balance in a dynamic "dead blow" bolt weight.
2. I removed the adjustment screw, and locktight the attachment screw.
3. I tried the adjustable BB weight with all combinations of weights in the pack but settled on the CMMG Solid Stainless Full Auto bolt weight which works well with all barrel lengths. If the bolt weight does not rattle, it's not dynamic and will not stop bolt bounce. The empty steel BB weight, weighs the same as the solid CMMG, 1.25oz. The way the BB weight is, it needs to have two parts pinned together. I personally liked the 1 piece design of the CMMG. The solid stainless FA CMMG has less surface area sliding on the bolt plate and rattles more. It rides on short legs and has a key that fits a notch in the back of the bolt guide. If one uses the CMMG bolt weight, the use of the BB buffers is not possible because the BB buffers lock into that notch. The BB steel bolt is not as dynamic. I even experimented by removing material from of the BB weight to make it as long as the CMMG weight but it still was not as functional.
4. I have not needed to add/change any additional springs, FP or extractors. The BB firing pin actually has a crescent shaped FP. It takes more energy to deform the brass. I like the CMMG 22LR FP system. But I did buy a replaceable kit from CMMG because my firing pin spring broke in the 5K rds range.
If someone wanted the cheapest recipe for what I have done, this is what I've found:

I do want to add some warnings:
1. I like the S&W 15-22 mags but they require a ARcatch22 clip to be used on the front of the magwell for a typical AR15 lower. I once used the Better-Mag for the15-22 mags but it cause more problems with fouling. With out it, I loose LRBHO. The current batch of freshly made 15-22 mags has problems. Multiple post have reported poor manufacturing defects and have given the newer 15-22 mags a bad name. I myself had to return several mags that either fell apart or would not fit the magwell.
I am currently testing BDM 32 rd metal feed lip mags. So far so good. The 22LR feed lips seems to wear out first with CMMG SS ARs
2. Most of the SS makers are using a jig to modify mil-spec triggers. The back part of the triggers have too much material removed from the top edge. If there is no SS mode or SS mode stops, it probably related to that. I recommencement getting the the SS parts and modifying the trigger yourself. (Video above) Go slow. The cam should barely fit through the lower with only the trigger installed.
