You guys know how things like this happen? I can tell you that posting I’ll take xx number of springs in a thread doesn’t make them appear like magic. Someone needs to get involved.

One of you needs to take step up like Kliph did. Be a leader, take charge, and help the community. Contact the manufacturer, create a list of interested people, and get it done. Anyone? Someone? No one?

I emailed Alan at Sprinco and this was his response:

I'll be happy to do another run if enough people pony up. I know there's a good bit of interest due to the folks that have contacted me after we knocked out all of the pre-orders. They are going to have to be a bit higher this time, as the first ones ate our lunch after we opened up those top two coils to make them easier to remove and install from / onto the follower. We worked it back out, but doing so totally changed the loads of the springs. We used up all the wire that I had ordered to make some extras, and barely had enough to cover the pre-orders. I'll talk to the forum member who spearheaded the last project and see if he wants to be the bell cow again.

Klyph12,
Do you want to spearhead another run of these with Alan? If not, then maybe I can.

Hell, I'll up my order, I got into the coffin mag game late, but I'd do 16 sets. That way I can replace all and have backups.

I'd be in for four. May as well get some and store them with the mags for whoever inherits the mags in case they need them. Not like buying bananas.

No I do not want to do it again. I spent almost a year doing it last time (since I started from scratch), between contacting different spring companies, testing and trying to drum up enough pre-orders.

Alan is very helpful and the ground work has been laid, it should be easier this time around for who ever wants to step up.

Klyph, thanks for doing this. I have about 30 coffins now. I rarely shoot them but that’s not the point. The point is you helped make them viable for the future. I have 5 platforms that can use the coffins and Lord willing, maybe those that come after me will be able to enjoy them. You helped with that. For whoever takes the lead on the next batch, I’ll purchase enough springs to cover the amount of coffins I’ve aquired in the last year or so since the first batch. Opportunities like this rarely come along.

Thank you Klyph👍

Talk about labor of love...I bought a bunch the first go around because these opportunities occur rarely and as Vegas says, these are the good old days!

You’re a rock star Klyph! While I didn’t buy any springs, I do know what it takes to assume the lead on something like this. So does Jmacken37, Concorde, and many others here on this forum who’ve taken the reigns on group buys. It’s not easy being a leader, but it’s very satisfying for those guys with real character.

The strength of this board is the truly great members who far out number the few douche nozzles we have. I’m strengthened by my association with some of these fine men. I stand on the shoulders of giants. These are truly the good old days. Don’t miss them!

I’ll be getting a Swedish K this year, so will be looking to get some coffin mags. I’d be in for 8 sets if you can tell how much and where to send funds to.
Thanks,
Steve

We should all send $10 to whomever takes on this assignment. I know I'd be the first to send a thank you to whomever rolls up their sleeves and makes it happen.

There's a couple of us talking to Alan@Sprinco at the moment, just waiting on a response with updated costs/quantities/thresholds etc.

I agree and would also be in for 5 sets.

Just waiting on a response from Sprinco. I know Fullautomatix is emailing Alan too. I’ll try and call on Monday.
