Hi, all.

I've got a Century CETME that needs a knowledgeable smithy's eye to help me troubleshoot an issue I've encountered with the trigger group. A decade or so ago I had Jayson Cotter at Investment Grade Firearms repress the barrel to resolve the zero bolt gap issue and work some other magic on this rifle, so I thought I'd check his site to see if he could help me with this new issue. But when I go to his site I get those malware notification/landing pages announcing that IGF's site is a known malware attacker. I've tried using Chrome, Firefox, and IE on my PC, as well as Chrome on my smartphone, yet all four browsers warn me away from Jayson's site. Is IGF even around any more?

Does anyone have any other suggestions for a good CETME/HK smithy?

Thanks in advance!

~ Greg ~

I use either TPM Outfitters or RDTS (Red Dog Target Systems) for all of my HK work. Neither are anywhere close to NFD.

Yeah, nothing is really anywhere near NFD. LOL

I checked out both sites. Is RDTS still in business? Their website says "CELEBRATING 26 YEARS 1981-2007". Have they been too busy celebrating the last 10 years to update their site? Or maybe they just stopped celebrating after 2007? :)

Thanks for the suggestions!

RDTS was still in business last year. Ralph senior helped me with some issues I was having on a SD they built. At the time they were way behind on work because Ralph junior had been laid up for a time. If I remember correctly he had crashed a motorcycle but my memory could be off. Senior was not too good about emails, but would return phone calls and was very helpful. Not sure who was hosting their site, but it aint up to date by a long shot. The good news is you do not need a computer expert to work on a rifle designed in the 50s. :)

TPM is local for me so they are my go to guys for HK stuff now.

Yep, I'm a member over there, too, but just assumed anyone asking questions about a CETME would be tarred and feather and ridden out of town on a rail. Because, you know... HK. LOL

Thanks!

did you send Jayson an email.he will usually respond in a day or two.

Yep, I did. I was finally able to get to his site (guess he got hacked last week or something, which explains all the alerts) and wrote to him on Tuesday. Haven't heard back yet, but I'm sure I'll get a response soon.

Took a week to hear back from him, but Jayson told me today that he has too much work already and won't be able to help me. Looks like I'm on to Plan B... I just shot emails to RDTS, TPM Outfitters, and BWE (not sure how I could have forgotten about Richard). I should have sent all those emails at the same time, but I wanted to give Jayson a try first.
