Hi all,

I recently obtained a Cobray M11/9 and am excited to begin upgrading it.

My plan is to add a pistol brace (SB Tactical) and an MRO (which I already got for it).

I would love to know if you guys thought it’s best to:

1) add an adapter for an optic and a stock/brace (like this from stormworkz ($75 each, $150 total) or…

2) add a Lage upper (which already has a piece of picatinny for both a stock/brace and optic like this for $525)

Thank you for any opinions in advance!

I'd consider this side cocking upper from US MGs. It's smaller and lighter than the Lage, gives you the optics rail, and costs less.

I suggest that you get a suppressor for it if you can in your location as that keeps the noise down and makes for a great front grip if you get a thermal cover for it.

Good luck in your efforts.

While I have really liked all the Lage uppers I’ve had over the years, I don’t think I would do it for a semi-auto. But I don’t own a semi-auto one, so to each his own!
Thanks for that input. I got a really good deal on this one via a trade, but may be interested in going full auto. I’ll have to see what the costs are versus buying a turn key specimen.

This is super helpful, thank you! I was not familiar with these uppers. I like them.

I have an AB F4 suppressor for 9mm, and a griffin bushwhacker for AR’s, but even tho it’s multi cal it’s long and set up for plan B/cherry bombs. I’ll do some reading on suppressors for these.

The Lage semi auto upper shoots surprisingly nicely.
Thanks for that info! It looks like no matter what upper I choose I still have to pick an adapter if I want a stock/brace. Leaning toward the Stormwerkz unless you all have a different recommendation.
