Thanks - I've tried your and the other suggestion, no bueno.I've seen a few "parts kits" sold by Gunbusters on GB .... cut up PD seizures ....but never any individual spares.
I'll ask over at Weaponsguild if anyone has any ideas
Gunbroker is your only hope for the old Texas parts and they don’t pop up often. Thanks - I've tried your and the other suggestion, no bueno.
This is the (broken) hammer I'm trying to replace, although it's probably not worth the effort. The gun belongs to a friend and I'm thinking of just telling him to part it out and move along.
Here’s the linkone parts gun on gunbroker right now
Damn was hoping nobody shared this one lol… looks like the cat is out of the bag..Here’s the link
You're safe, at least from my interest in it, the owner said he's not interested in spending the $$$ on it and gave me the gun. I'm not keen on spending the $$$ to fix it either, but I'm going to keep an eye on the auction to see if it sells. IF it does I'll probably part this one out as well. At least it come with 3 exc condition mags so those have to worth something.
Thanks again!
lol good thing i don't have one anymore or we would have to rastle over it lolIt’s actually a buddy of mine bidding on the other listing at the moment, but I was rooting for him to score those parts at a decent deal.. but would you maybe be interested in selling the safety slider from that gun? I need a Texas safety for mine and they are very hard to come by.
I am currently the one and only bidder on that listing, hoping to win it for the safety slider alone, I have been searching for a Texas safety for quite some time to no avail. hopefully I don’t have to deal with any more competition now, especially since the OP already said he isn’t interested in spending money on parts for his gun anyway…
Sounds like the early guns are mainly fit for either hanging on a wall or making post samples out of them.

Now that’s what happens when an expert jumps in. Enlightening information! This is only an issue with the Texas MAC semi auto pistols specifically. The parts for the standard Cobray type semi autos both open and closed bolt are widely available, the Texas mac semi auto pistols have a closed bolt fire control group that is unique to the Texas MAC. and as far as I know replacement parts have never been available for the Texas semi autos. Another fun fact, the Texas MAC semi auto is the only closed bolt semi auto MAC that has the trigger pin hole in a different location than the open bolt guns. So it makes a lousy candidate for a post sample as the trigger pin hole has to be welded closed and relocated to match the original open bolt specs.
The parts sold for $420 - that's about $50 more than my friend paid for the gun back in '86 (he still has the receipt)Damn was hoping nobody shared this one lol… looks like the cat is out of the bag..
Yeah that’s fairly low for an M10 parts set nowadays. I typically get a bare minimum of $500 for a complete upper alone. The typical complete RPB m10 parts set with FCG parts would go for closer to 800-1000, so a $420 selling price on those parts goes to show that Texas stuff just isn’t as desirable… oh and my buddy won the listing, happy to see he got a good deal on those partsThe parts sold for $420 - that's about $50 more than my friend paid for the gun back in '86 (he still has the receipt)
