Sten optic mount

I got this optic mount from @subgun24 (see below). It’s really nice and can’t wait to try it. I put a cheap Bushnell on top of it.

I will be interested in seeing if the rear sight comes off.
I noted that on the early STEN MKII 's the rear sight is welded on differently than on later production.
I believe this is because the stresses of firing broke the welds and the rear sight falls off.
It happened on my gun.
Repaired it following the method observed of the later STEN guns.
When you have looked at hundreds of these as parts kits you note these little differences.
I also saw a number where the rear sight was gone..

The rear sight doesn’t hold much with his setup. It’s mainly held in place via some strong a$$ magnets and the rear sight is mainly for alignment, more than anything.

It’s great man!
I’ve been meaning to do a more detailed video and will. I’ve been busy with a bathroom remodel and a bunch of other projects.
I just got @navgunner new Sten can and I took one of my stens out and the front sight is missing. No big deal, since I’ve got @subgun24 optic mount on that one. I’ll put another front sight on it, no rush though as I’m keeping the optic mount permanently installed on that Sten.

Here’s a better video of @subgun24 optic mount and @navgunner integral suppressor. The steel is 20 yards and the watermelons should be about 22 yards.

I really enjoy this setup, more than I’d like to admit.
