Thought I post a picture of a modification of my STEN. I hate the handling characteristics of the STEN, so I did this.

Works great and I can switch back to original configuration in a snap.

when i reach to grab my sten i find myself looking for an invisible pistol grip

ive got a similar AR type setup for mine to play with....its a hard choice between a classic look vs making it a better/more functional gun.

you did a wood stock which i think helps yours look more ''correct''

It was a British SMLE stock (I had to make some modifications to it). I don't remember where I got the adaptor. The M16 grip is bolted on to the adaptor, but one push of the takedown button and the whole unit comes off and I can put the loop stock back on. Makes the gun longer than with the loop stock- but then again- it's just a range toy.

Yep- The grips were for sale separately from several sources. Bolts right onto the "barrel shroud". I have an extra barrel shroud (exact phrase escapes me right now) so I twist off the one with the grip and screw on the other for a fast change to the front end.

Wow, that's pretty fugly, lol

Got a spare magwell you could modify? You could make a French Sten replica. Pistol grip-ish ergos and period correct look. The buttstock would be super simple to make.

I dont think I've ever seen anyone do a clone, so you could be the first.

Actually- I tied a spare modified AK stock first. It just was not long enough for my liking. Your pic look good, but would be uncomfortable for me. But I agree- your "fixed" photo look better :O)
