First of all I cant believe how accurate the Uzi is but what range do you guys do your zero at? I put a 100 yrd sight in target at 25 yds and literally blew one hole in it, I was expecting a pie plate group.

Is this the F/A or the semi? The full auto guns come pre-sighted from vector. If you don't have a vector then poke around on the internet for an aiming target.

Pre sighted? Says who?

I had to raise my front sight 4 turns and adjust it to hit 1 foot to the right to zero my Uzi.

Must have missed the sighting stop on the assembly line.

I was amazed at the accuracy and low recoil myself until I considered how accurate would a pistol with a 10" barrel and stock and how much recoil would it have if it weighed 6 lbs.

It is an incredibly controllable gun.

Tommygun:

Every vector comes pre-sighted. If it doesn't then you should call them and have them fix it. Mine shoots nice, tight little groups at 100 feet.

It works fine now, no need to call them

How can they pre sight a gun other than a quick bore sight to see if the trunnion is aligned?
This is just normal manufacturing checks.

All guns must be zeroed for accuracy according to the shooters grip, cheek weld, sight picture, and all shooters are different to some degree. Mine shoots nice groups too, but it wasn't that way when I got it, I had to adjust it to me. Same with pistols.

This is why in the military, you learn YOUR "battlesight zero" and remember it so you can pick up any M16 and dial it on the sights and be pretty damned close to the rifle you actually fired and sighted in at the range.

Try putting in a different caliber kit and see if you don't have to readjust the sights. My .45 barrel shoots high by a few inches and the sights must be adjusted if I want to use that caliber for accurate shooting and not just blasting.
No two barrels shoot exactly the same.......maybe close but not exact unless they are test fired from a large lot and hand selected like sniper rifles.

Yeah, but the surprising thing to me is that is shoots so well being a open bolt. The open bolt designs can be a hassle to hold on target due to Newton's 3rd law and all that good stuff. Close bolt designs only have the hammer mass to deal with. Then there's the trigger's effect on marksmanship, but that's another area of study altogether.

Bottom line, I'd attribute the full size Uzi's SA mode accuracy performance to good balance. In FA, the mass also lessens the felt recoil and muzzle climb. It's longivity is an testament to it's incredible designer.

My UZI pistol is startlingly accurate. Initially I was not expecting it to be but it shoots right along side many of my other 9mm pistols. Everyone who shoots it is amazed once they learn to deal with it's weight.

My vector ,shot very tight groups.I tried the .22 kit had problems, got the 45 kit and ended up sending my gun and all kits back. Vector aligned and rewelded ,new .22 barrel and welded the semi feed ramp free of charge ! now we are expolding pumpkins out to 100 yards.(our farm grew pumpkins this year)40S&w hollow pts and 45 hollow pts are a lot of fun , 9mm +72 rounds with hollow pts can make a big mess oh ya!(the pickers only take the best) leave us targets to play with till next week when they are tilled under.mail call has water mellon we have pumpkins.
