Now for Sale (Should I part it out or try to fix it?)

I listed the parts for sale on GB.

If I try to fix it I will need a barrel and a gas tube along with a lot of welding as the receiver has been demilled. If I part it out what are the parts worth?

Is the receiver cut? Can't tell from the picture. Barrels are available from Green Mountain. There is one for sale on GB right now. Okpud has the know-how and tools to install.

So other than the barrel, it's missing the gas tube. Try contacting EX1 for that.

Not sure what the laws are concerning rewelding the receiver or how difficult it may be with the rails inside.

If you decide to part this out on GB let us all know.

Um how did that happen?

Unconstitutional Federal Buracracy made a rule they have no right to make.

As for the re-weld it is legal as its just metal now so long as the naughty parts that make it an auto are eliminated before its done. Like for example an AK, or Galil milled re-weld you need to weld shut the third hole that holds the sear. No idea on your rifle what does what. After its done its treated as if it were an 80% receiver build.

It never was an auto. Started life as a FNC Sporter. And its life was ended with a torch. Barrel, gas tube and receiver all got it!

While I'm sure all of us would LOVE to gets our grubby paws on the parts, including myself, I hope you keep it and get it back together. Are you sure the receiver was cut, because I just don't see it.

The other side of it is all torch cut with a section of it missing.

Ohhhhh, now I see it. I thought that was a reflection of the light through the ejection port...that's actually the carpet I see. Looks like it runs horizontally only?

Sell the parts for $1250-1500 and call it a day... I assume you paid substantially less than that. Was it confiscated by LE or what? Chopping barrel totally uncalled for...

Anyone have links to what the parts finally sold for on GB? OR what each part went for? Any parts left?

$2963 for the parts and thats with a cut receiver and junk barrel.

If the kit was a pure 100% kit with no cuts and a good barrel, it may be worth $3800.

WOW.

Most impressive... I tried bidding for a couple items but was shocked at what some of them ended selling for. If left to pure auction, the bolt should have sold for $1k compared to the price of some other items.

At least it motivated me to pick up a spare FNC, there was a Howco on consignment at a local LGS for 5 months and the owner finally got desperate and dropped the price $1k.

Picked it up for $3k out the door. Had the manual and spare parts of a firing pin and handle. I guess it had at most 200-300 hundred rounds through it.

Wow! I can't even sell my whole rifle for $3250 shipped in the trading post.
