Considering having the barrel shortened on the Golani. What length looks good and balances good?

Just to clarify...is that the length including the flash hider or just the barrel itself?

Best BBL length BY FAR on Galil is SAR/Glilon, i.e. 12.5".

I shortened my barrel to 14.5" and permanently attached a Phantom FH to make it 16" overall. It looks good and resembles a SAR without the SBR paperwork.

What's required to seperate the barrel from the receiver ?, is it welded, screwed, pressed ??
Thinking of getting a clone but can't decide betweeen a P7 (PSP) and a Golani.
already have M4, Vector 93, P9S and other assorted pistols.
And there's no reloading the brass post Galil ?
The 93 stuff get reloaded , just takes a little longer to tumble.

Dumb question time..... If your barrel was shortend to 16.25, you would not need to permanently pin your muzzle break.... right? 16 inch is the federal magic number.... the .25 is there "just in case?"

Or do I, as usual, have my head up it?

Thanks!
Fred
