The mags definitely need a locator tab on the front like the coffin mags. It's easy to get the mag canted and jammed in the upper.
Yes, I found that to be the case as well, now that I've had a chance to play with it a little more. I can see that causing a problem in the middle of a match.

A strip like on the front of the coffin mags would help, but it's pretty thin. I think it would still be possible to get it in there crooked. The magwell that's designed for drums makes for some interesting issues with stick mags.

I don't think they are available for purchase by the general public yet. These reviews are by beta testers. Once the beta testing is over, they should be available on http://shockwavetechnologies.com If you are sure you want some, email Marty there and ask to be put on the preorder list.

Ok that's what I was thinking. If they make a 50rd mag I'll take one, maybe a few 30rd mags too

Just a thin strip of a tab on the front would do it. It would be easy to spot or plug weld it.

That front tab would be a big help.

In our testing, the front tab hasn't been necessary. The rear tab, the width of the base at the rear, and the feedlips tucked up inside the upper keep everything aligned.

Just an update on the mag. I just got around to finally using it today and it ran flawless. Thanks Marty for a first class mag. I apologize for just getting around to shoot it.

I test fit my mag in a BRP. It locked up fine. Dropping the bolt jammed it up tight. Had to rubber mallet the bolt loose. But it's an easy file down of the top of the feed lips and the inside edges of the back of the lips - the vertical part. Basically create more room for the BRP bolt to slide through and snag a cartridge.

I suspect otherwise it would be fine.

There does seem to be an alignment issue as noted above by Garret and the picture on the previous page. The front alignment tab would help since not all the magwells are the same dimensions.
