They are different from MINI/MICRO/Pistol from the FULL Size/Carbine. I was going to put one that came out of a MINI in a full size closed bolt assembly until I noticed they were different.

I'm not sure but I think the 9mm and .45 in the same "family" (meaning full size vs MINI/MICRO/Pistol) are the same.

Well I got Dennis Todd's 45 Pistol Bolt (stripped)(THANK YOU for finding that for me Amphibian!) I built it up from his parts bin... I know for sure the extractor is for a 45 and the retainer pin is the same....but I think the BBL I used was from a 9mm Pistol bolt.... (Altogether he charged me $50)...Im waiting for a barrel from Troy so I havent had a chance to fire it yet...but this BBL thing does concern me....My Pistol Conversion search is over and I only paid $120 for it ...woo hoo !!!!

do you even need the Bolt Blocking Latch? I'ts a pain to reinstall after cleaning the bolt. that little dam spring is a bitch to get back in.

I guess that's like saying, "do you really need the grip safety?".
Its just another safety. It will work fine without it. The main thing is that it prevents an out of battery discharge.
If you don't have the "BBL", then there is a possibility that the firing pin could go forward w/o the bolt fully in battery.

That is correct, as seen in the Library, the Model A doesn't have that safety:

ok I understand it is possible to eliminate the BBL...but Im goin to keep them installed for safety... I can see a difference with the two....(Pistol to Carbine) The Carbine BBL (9mm&45) has a flat edge for its striker assembly and the Pistol BBL has a round edge for its striker assembly....which leads me back to whether or not the 9mm and 45 for the Pistol are the same and/or are versitile...??? for now Im goin to go with Amphibians "family" theory....and just wait to see what it shoots like ....
