SBR’d my 10/22

I got a blued charger for a $100 and it has a 10” threaded barrel. I’m putting that into a B-TM stock. The barrel will come to the the end of the stock (really close at least) and look really nice. Since my barrel is threaded, I’ll likely cut the stock back a hair to use my Spectre II. I’m kinda tempted to keep it flush to the stock and maybe use a 1/2” longer thread adapter though. I’m cheap and broke so I might just use my saw and cut the stock down.
The stainless 11” I pictured was cut down from a rifle. Only option with a 10” charger barrel is with an extender segment you mention to get past the Samson stock.
You are the test case if you can trim back the Samson stock to a 10” charger length and not lose the barrel band out front. I’m interested to know how that pans out.
I had the thought over the years could I buy a 10” threaded charger barrel with adapter and do the work myself to match the pics I posted, but in the end, I didn’t bother with half throttle since I had the lathe option I killed both barrel and stock to the edge of usable.
Hope you can keep the barrel band if staying with 10. We’ll see..
You asked Kickstand, but how would he know? Said he filed it the day before you asked; I offered my result just trying to help.
To help answer your question, a friend of mine had (10+) F1 stamps come back within a couple days using an eft instead of prints like me, filed about a week after mine, some took 2+weeks.

Swapped the recoil spring for a lighter Volquartsen also their buffer. Good choice.
Radiused the chop and stained (slightly too dark).
Fire blued the back of the charging handle.
