Hey guys... Sent my Golani off to jeff last week. He called wed to confirm receiver passed...

So now the wait!!!!

Mine will have a pinned brake for compliance, as we cant own a SBR in Commie NJ.

This will be my first Galil/Golani, but i'm sure not the last...

Will have pics up when it comes in....:banana

Superbee -explain exactly what you mean by "receiver passed"...

What receiver did you use for your build?

Jeff does a hardness test on every receiver he works on. No sense in spending a lot of time (and a lot of your money) on a build/rebuild that will not last.

Right on.... My first call to jeff went like this.... Hey have a Golani... His reply....

I will check receiver for correct hardness as soon as it comes in the shop. If it fails you now have a paper weight! Then he destroys it, and you now own a parts kit...He wont let a SOFT receiver leave his shop....

OK, now I think I understand.
You sent a "built" Golani to him for mods and he checked the existing receiver.
I waited for a CNC Warrior receiver to show up again but no luck, so I sold my SAR parts kit.
That is one excuse, the other is I have 2 more AK-74 kits to complete.
Always like the Galil SAR though.

Correct, that's exactly what I did...I was going to wait for the CNC receiver as well, but I hate waiting and took a chance buying a Golani. And since I knew it was going to Jeff to be ripped apart and built correctly I have no worries...
