SA Bolt Group McKay web page changes

Anyone else notice the SA bolt group displayed on the McKay website recently changed from the type (B) to a type (A).

RobertRTG still shows the type(B)

By type(A) I mean the bolt firing pin catch is not there.

The bolt group they showed up until a few days ago had the firing pin catch.

Had not noticed but this is the reply I received last week regarding an inquiry on the ETA of bolt groups.

"We had to restart our production due to a change in machine shops. It will be a few months"

Okay... so I’m not going crazy. I checked there today and noticed the change. I have an A bolt I got from US Barrel Shroud, but have been waiting for one of their B bolts. Sigh.

Rod told me that the bolt is type B, but McKay chose not to include the fire pin blocking parts to keep the cost down.

No, you don't need the fire pin block parts to build a sa Uzi. The bolt works fine without FPB. If you choose to install the FPB, you need to make sure your ejector has the cut in the back to support the FPB functionality. Otherwise, your round will not fire when you pull the trigger.

In my situation, I will have the FPB parts install to prevent the out of battery explosion. I believe my McKay receiver already has the cut in the ejector to support the FPB.

FYI... I ordered the FPB parts from IWI website for $10 plus $4 for shipping.
