I found this today in a Army Surplus store. Me being the Uzi nut that I am I had to buy it. I figure someone here would know the origin of it and maybe what it is worth. It functions just like a Full size Uzi in each position Safe, Semi, and Full. It has an extractor but no firing pin so I don't think it shoots any kind of blanks. Any info on this guys.

looks like it'd take a stock as well / I remember a Japanese Replica UZI that was spot on... pot metal parts etc.
It's supposed to be able to chamber and fire (replica gun blanks), field strip it and look at the bolt face etc. I think you'll be able to locate more info by searching Marushin blank firing replica.

Look on top of the weapon and you should see the word "Marushin" on it. I have that exact same toy. I have never fired it because:

1) The blanks are very difficult to find.

2) When I have found the right blanks for it, they are very few and they cost far more than live ammo.

If it were mine, I'd put a wood SMG stock on it.

Saw one FS a while ago for almost $300. I though $250 more and I could just get the real thing.

Gahd, weren't those the days?

I will put a folding stock on it for now cause I got an extra I was thinking of a wood one also.

Mine does not say "Marushin" on it any where. Is this on the top cover? I am not seeing it.

I got it for a decent price I guess...$75.... But what do you think it is worth?

I saw a replica Uzi that was labled as a "movie prop" at the gun show today, they wanted $250 for it.

Not sure what the deal was with it, as they were quite busy.

Depends on who you are as to how much you'd spend on it I guess.

If its the one I am thinking of, The blanks for it are Brass and unscrew, you put a cap inside, and there should be a pin inside the barrel chamber, when the blank is pushed forward it strikes the cap from in front and cycles the action to pick up another Blank. Last time I saw one was in the mid 80's and it was being sold @ the time @ Sharper Image. I had a Beretta that took the same caps. It was pretty cool.

They don't say it on the gun, but that's what it is. I've got one.

Hey Dave did yours come with a folding stock or did you have to put one on it.

Crap just found a picture of a brand new one with a folding stock.

From most of the pictures the folding stock appears to be real. Are they?

It came with a folding stock. (I bought it new in the early 1980's.) All of the parts, right down to the details of the fire control parts, are exact copies of the original - except that they're pot metal. The only thing different is the bolt and barrel to work with the blanks. The stock is also an exact copy but again it's cheap metal.
