Reinforcement tab cut upper on unmodified lower slop

I have a new upper cut for reinforcement tabs on an original Powder Springs untabbed lower. There's some play between the upper and lower side to side which I don't think is great for accuracy.

Anyone ever have this issue and rectify it in a way they can recommend? Figured the simplest solution is to have someone fabricate shims to keep the upper and lower snug but if someone out there makes something drop in I'd love to hear it. I have to bribe my machinist friend for this kind of stuff when he's in the mood to do it.

Another member suggested using the plastic cover on a spiral notebook/pad... i tried and works great... cut mine in a teardrop shape for ease of installation...one on each side worked...some covers thicker than others...

I used this trick to shim the 9mm magwell adapter in the m10/45

I used double sided 3m tape (not wrapping paper). Use alcohol to degrease the metal.

Accuracy, HAHAHAHAHA!

just use some scrap metal and hiforce solder. It will melt with a propane torch and will be more than adequate for the job. It will also be easy to remove.

Hey I want it to be a little more accurate than great for shooting objects in phone booths :)

Also I just really hate that it feels sloppy

I bought my PS M10/45 from SWD in 1989 and it came with the reinforcement tabs already installed on the lower and a upper that would fit the modified lower. I also have two Jersey Arms Commando Avengers I bought as stripped receivers that do not have the tabs. The minor amount of slop with the upper cut for the tabs never bothered me. You could always silver solder some washers to the upper I guess. Using a Lage one piece receiver pin might help with the slop too.
