I bought 3. Excellent condition. Looks like very little use, insides look new. Not matching numbers.

I purchased from Clearview the first of this year and was pleased as well. They were in excellent condition and as advertised.

Also, my Max10/31 was in the same batch as yours. In fact, it's out for delivery today via USPS. VERY stoked and looking forward to receiving the upper!

Don’t own a 31 but bought 1 drum. Hoarding in a time of crisis.

Hi,

Will the 36 round Suomi stick magazines work in the Max31K?

Thank you,

Pinkerton OUT!

Suomi Drums, 50 round coffin magazines, and Zmags, are all single feed. The 36 rounds stick mags are double feed and will not function in the ‘31 series of uppers.

Is anybody using the coffin mags? Do they work well? Been my experience the double stack single feed mags can have issues.

The coffin mags work unless you have a broken spring. Be sure to get a loader.

Coffin mags work, but there has never been a scenario where it really made sense to pick it. Some matches limit you to 30 round mags, so you might as well use Zmag-S magazines, and if not, you might as well use drums. Definitly just a cool thing to have though.

Ahhh that makes sense. I was wondering why the Zmag-s aren't a 50rd like the coffins are.

I do have 2 coffins as an option but I wouldn't buy any more considering the Zmag-S are out now.

Me too. Bought 3 nice ones for $250 in the classified here and I don’t own one yet because Lage hasn’t built a 31k for the M11/9.

I’m almost settled on buying a 31, buying a replacement 31k barrel from Lage, then cutting the front down and tapping to refit the front plate. Bam! 31k for my m11/9.

I remember dealing w Bugsy. Strange dude. I sold him maybe 500? Suomi drums back then. I still have the container shipping customs invoice/tape listing port of Antwerp as origin. I bought 3 pallets/crates full from the old Vector Arms cache. They had been sitting in a warehouse in SLC for a decade+ at the time. And yeah I wish I still had them. Liquidated then way to cheaply ! I think I have about 80 left on hand but they aren’t for sale. Anyway that’s some backstory for y’all.

Interesting to know the story behind these.

Did all of that bubble of Suomi drums come from that Vector supply? I got some from Vegas that'll keep me busy for a while. Seems like there were only a few...then a glut, now again, just a few.

Such are the fates of surplus gun stuff.

Coffin mags work great in the 31 upper. I have the MKII upper. My coffins fit securely and function 100%. Get em now while you can. There’s a member on the boards here that has them for around 120.00ish.....maybe less.

Since Clearview is closed due to the current unpleasantness, anyone have grade 3 drums for sale around their $65 price? I only have 5 for my Max 31, and I think this might be it for the cheap drums.
