Rebuild AWC Systems Amphibian

Hello all,
Looking for someone to rebuild an AWC Amphibian MK2 suppressor. Purchased in 2012, many rounds put through it. Its front end is very heavy compared to what is being made in 2026. The major players in the industry only want to do production. Any suggestions?

Shaw Arms and ECCO Machine both have historically done rebuilds. You’ll need to check to see if they are taking on that kind of work at present. When they get really busy they suspend the one-off jobs.

ETA: You could also see about sending it back to AWC. They are still around. Also, isn’t the Amphibian II supposed to be user serviceable? Have you tried taking it apart?

For clarity, the purpose of my comment about cleaning it is that if it hasn’t been cleaned, it might have a couple ounces of carbon and lead in it. Clean that out, and it might feel like a lighter unit. I believe the Amphibian II has a stainless blast baffle followed by aluminum baffles, so I am not sure how much weight savings you can achieve there unless she wants to chop it shorter.

Not sure if they are still around but stalking rhino used to do this. Also liberty suppressors did one for me in the past
