I've been away from this site for 10 years so don't bash me if this is old news. I have a dpms recon gen2 .308 that runs perfect with my rdias. The smaller g2 frames are perfect for the Dias and m16 fire control. I think my rdias just went up to 30k. I've got hosts for 5.56, 9mm lonewolf lower, 9mm colt, 300 blackout, .22 and .308 now. I hope the cmmg mutant will take the sear too so I can have a reliable 7.62x39. Is the shrike belt fed system reliable? Like I said been away awhile.

I am not aware of anybody ever getting or producing an ATF determination indicating that a RDIAS can legally be used in the DPMS .308 or AR-10 like rifles.
Thats why I asked and got a determination on the Colt 901 type rifle. Its more of an AR-15 type rifle since it can still use AR-15 uppers.
I have no idea if ATF would allow RDIAS in the DPMS. I would like to think its good to go. Untill someone gets a determination, I am staying clear of that host.

And..... you are right RDIAS are sky high. Some selling for $29,000, $30,000 lately on GB. I see one closing today on GB. Im thinking it should reach close to $30,000.

Didn't know about the batf says this needs to go in an ar15. My paper work says machine gun and auto sear. Nothing about a host or what is goes into. I will leave it out of the G2 to be safe. It's totally uncontrollable anyways.

As a responsible person for the FFL 07/SOT for whom I work, I've never heard of it being an issue with the ATF. As you've said, the RDIAS is indeed the registered "machinegun" independent of the host.

Using conversion parts in guns they were not designed to convert has been an issue for decades, even more since FOPA86 since you cannot make new conversion parts for guns that did not exist prior to FOPA86.

ATF has their position, and I am unaware of any Case Law that supports it.
