While go thru my old black canvas RPB case I found what looks to be a black suppressor cover. It's about 8'' long and It's made out of some type of foam. It does fit on a 1 3/4 suppressor but it just seems like the heat would melt the foam.Is this the type of cover that came with it?
Thanks Mike

Yep. My 2-stage came with two of them (different diameters of course).
I never used them. I used a Nomex one piece cover instead.
Here's what they look like with the original box:

I use foam on my Bowers can. Had it on there for about 2 years now. No tears, and it does not transfer heat. Looks like some type of A/C foam. Works really good. Better than my nomex covers, as it fits snug on the can and does not move.

Where can I find that kind of foam for 1 3/4 inch and 2 inch two stage Sionics?

Its actually pipe insulation.
Try someplace that sells a lot of commercial plumbing supplies.

Other than that, these covers used to be available from everybody that handled MAC parts. They were very inexpensive. Don't know now.
I switched to Nomex years ago and love it.

Thanks for the help Jack007. My google search-fu is weak. Anyone know what is the name of this kind of pipe insulation foam?

Brand name stenciled on my foam is "RUBATEX INSUL-TUBE 180." It costs about $8.00 for 6 foot depending on thickness and diameter.

More Info :
Insul-Tube 180 Pipe Insulation is used to retard heat gain and prevent condensation and frost formation on refrigerant lines, cold water plumbing and chilled water systems. It also retards heat flow hot water plumbing, liquid heating, dual temperature piping and many solar systems.

Available in these sizes:
• Wall Thicknesses of 3/8 in.‚½ in., ¾ in., and 1 in.
• IPS Sizes from 3/8 in., to 8 in.

Thanks again.

I see they don't have the two sizes for 1 3/4 an 2 inch. I wonder if 2 1/8 would work or if I'll have to step down to the slightly smaller size.

I found another site that had a size above and below the sizes I need. I plan on taking my can to a HAVAC place in town to compare.

Yeah looks like 2 inch is not there. I'd call someone. Or better yet, do like you said and take it somewhere and compare.
