When you guys install a QD buttstock on a semi-auto full size UZI, how do you address the striker spring from not having anything to keep it in place?

1) Remove the bolt, striker, springs, buffer and metal stock nut.
2) Install QD Stock, metal protrusion in QD stock mounting plate should mate-up/fill stock nut hole.
3) Reinstall buffer, striker, springs and bolt!

Essentially, you can go from pistol to rifle, back to pistol again. If you build a pistol with a 16" barrel, you can have a QD buttstock on the 16" pistol and not create a SBR.

However, when the stock is removed, it is not functional unless you also reattach another QD stock harware, but I'd like to know if there is some sort of insert to put in the receiver to allow it to function with the stock off and no QD hardware attached to the pistol.

i would think that it would be very easy to fashion a sheet metal insert to lay behind the buffer that would allow the qd stock to be attached and retain recoil spring--may have to play with it but it's worth a try.

waiting on stamp for my sbr build (installing a freaking barrel-how hard is thatl!) 3 months in--don't know how it'll take.
