I noticed that when the flip grip is in the folded up position the safety for the gun is not accessible, is anyone using a Lage extended safety with the flip grip to solve this accessibility issue?

I do believe the safety is accessible on mine, but a Lage safety will help with the issue of not being able to properly reach it.

I don't think I have ever even used the safety on my M10 anyways.

+2. I have never used the safety. I find it awkward and proper bolt manipulation is my safety. IE bolt is only back with a mag in if I am ready to shoot. Otherwise no mag, or bolt closed with mag inserted.

Exactly. It would be different if I actually expected to carry my M10 in an offensive manner like actual combat. Safety on with the gun ready to go is best.
