I snagged one of the "Park Tank Specials" from RobertRTG back in 2012. That puts me to 53 32-round magazines, plus the 2 25-round mags that came with the gun.

On a related note, I need to buy an UZI UpLULA.

Perhaps going overboard, but I have 100 for two Uzis. Got them at good prices when the German military mags first hit the consumer market. No such thing as too many mags, IMO, and can always trade spares or sell.

I think the question should be, not "how many magazines do you have" but how many do you or would you actually use? Anything more than that number are (in my opinion) used as trade fodder. I remember a thread from years ago that asked how much 12 full loaded 32 round 9mm magazines would weigh? When you count the loaded magazines, mag pouches and an Uzi. I believe the final count was around 30 pounds

Would you actually use??? You would use as many as it takes to shoot what you are shooting. That question can't be answered.

Yeah....but go to a Machine Shoot (or take a bunch of friends out SMG'ing)....and it's sure nice to have a bunch of pre-loaded mags. And by a bunch I mean 20 or more...just waiting to be shot. Ah...the joy of loaded mags!

im a believer in 20 mags per gun depending on the cost....im not buying 20 soumi drums, but i have 8, im not going to have 20 Thompson drums, but i have 2 along w/ 30 mags for it.....for a AR i think i have 40+.....

good to have 10 to shoot and 10 for the future.....mags never go down in value and depending on politics could be a very good investment.......mags will never go down in value.....same with ammo

Prices are based on availability and have sometimes go down. In the early 2000's, it was hard to get an UZI mag for less than $30. Now you can get them for as low as $8 due to the surplus of mags from Germany. Bad luck if you bought a bunch of them 10-15 years ago. Same with ammo. If you loaded up during the post-Sandy Hook frenzy, you paid a lot more than you do today.

you are correct....if you buy ammo when its double price your going to lose

still have my (10) 1000 bricks of Remington .22 i bought for $8.99 each when i was 21....if i was smart enough to stock up with 20,000 rounds of all various calibers back then id be thousands ahead right now....just as 20 years from now you will dream back to the days when 9mm was $225 per 1,000 case...

during the assault weapon ban i dont think AR or AK mags ever really went up in price...there are soooo many millions of them......but i did pay a hefty premium for Glock mags back then to get 15 and 17 rounders.......Soumi mags/coffin mags seem to be going up right now and the quality of the drums suck (finish wise)....

i buy every Thompson drum i can find in minty condition for a good deal....they will never go down....found one for $400 a while back- near mint

cant remember what i paid for my UZI mags....but it wasnt $8 and it was just a few months ago.....but im fussy and dont want banged up/heavily used mags....i pay premiums for condition

i have (2) 5 mag pouches....so i load up 10- 32 round mags when i shoot it....i dont go to the range to spend my time loading.....i just keep popping in new mags

Magazines are like guns...if without thinking about it you can answer the question of how many you own exactly, you don't own enough.
Uzi mags...? My best guesstimate is somewhere between 60-80.
Lately, I've been buying more AR and AK mags. I must not be alone since I notice some of the more popular vendors are either running low or out of stock. I suspect there is a spike in hoarding given the uncertain political future.
