I tried sliding my pmags into my sp1 magwell today and they were very tight! I believe they did seat properly when pushed in with some force, but they definitely dont drop free. Does anyone know an easy fix for these mags?

MarkV said:IIRC they had an earlier batch that wouldn't drop free. I want to think this issue was with anything marked prior to 2007, I believe it was caused by an issue with earlier molds that they later changed. The date code is under the mag release slot on mine. Some vendors are still selling older mags. I believe Magpul will replace the mag bodies under warranty if you send in yours. Check their website, send them an e-mail.
I recently bought twelve directly from Magpul after having very good results using an acquaintences. They all drop free in my AR Sporter HBAR and my M16A1. They also drop free from my Redi-Mag.
In all of my dealings with Magpul they've been outstanding in customer service. All my aluminum mags sport their followers; their followers even helped out with some el cheapo 40 rounders I had laying around become useable.
