On the same thread-is there a belt fed upper that will work on HK receivers?-getting my f/a sear, now wondering about .308 and.223 belt fed uppers? Or how about a belt fed on an AR/RLL receiver?--Thanks-Beemer. Heading to the creek Thursday night-camping out.:marines

I have 'em all -my favorites

I'm a class-3, so we have the oppertunity to posess/shoot just about every firearm out ther. I personally own many class-3 guns and found that my favorites are the M16 and Broaning 1919.

Why?
The M16 is so bloddy versatile with all the different uppers and caliber conversions. Stay away from the DIAS/Lightening links, the registered recievers are much more reliable, a gun that doesn't work is no fun or any good unless you like frustration.

The 1919 has a bounty of replacement parts that are very affordable and nothing satisfies the NFA/Class-3 full auto folks more than a belt-fed gun. The 1919 is a very well-built, robust, durable and easy to shoot gun for the class-3 enthusiast.

HK MP5's are a very close third place.

I've had ZERO issues with my RDIAS.
I would give up my factory Colt 614 MG before I'd give up my RDIAS.

A RDIAS is even more flexible than a RR.

Below is a pic of my MGI modular lower using the AK magwell for a low profile setup with the SAW box and my Shrike upper.
Take out the modified AK mag which holds my SAW boxes then I can slap in unmodified AK mags and DRUMS.
MGI is also coming out with Grease Gun mag lower to accept unmodified GG mags.
Also working on a magwell to accept the M14 mags for .308 action.
You can't do that with a RR.

It runs 100%, my RDIAS has yet to fail to do what it is supposed to do.
I do agree there are probably quite a few out there that have been messed up. But it is not hard to fix a RDIAS if necessary.

My RLL is 100% reliable. It runs with 9mm, .45ACP, .223, 6.8SPC and 7.62x39 with no problems. With the addition of the KNS RLL protector, I can run blowback calibers with no worries and the addition of the select fire FCG, I can run the RLL either semi or full.

Basically, I wouldn't trade my RLL for a RR. Granted, I would prefer an RDIAS, but they are extremely overpriced. The only thing an RDIAS can do that a RLL can't is .22LR, however, M60Joe is working on that.

Not a belt fed upper, but I have a 21 that runs like a top on semi. I haven't had the chance to move the sear into it yet but I have no reason to believe it won't run great.

My first was a Mini Uzi, then a RLL and now I just purchased a RIA M60E3. Once I recover from the purchase, I am going to upgrade it to an E4, and then start the long process of picking up spare parts and ammo...lots and lots of ammo.

So, how long did it take for you to get bitten by the "one ain't enough" bug? :) :) :). There's no cure, you know. Now when you pull the trigger on a semi, you're going to wonder how "1 pull, 1 bang" was ever fun :devil

Went to Knob Creek this April - lots of rain and mud.

But I came home and bought my first C3 - SWD M-11/9. I'm still waiting on the paperwork and my Lage upper, and I already want an M-16.

I figger, why fight it? Just go ahead and "get assimilated."

I tried to buy that RLL that sold for $6500 with the selector. Too slow dammit. I saw a RLL on subguns that said it needed an sp-1 bolt to run? I think I better study this more. Any Ideas? Thanks for the help.

Any RLL needs the sp1 carrier to run; you just have M60joe mill any carrier to sp1 specifications. Check the clearance in the lower may or may not need any work and if you run the KNS re-enforcer you will need to take some off of the rear lower lug support.
Some people do it them selves I prefer to send it to M60joe and have him make a nice safe bed for my expensive piece of metal.

The sporter one carrier should be a full circle and measure .38". It also needs the low shelf receiver, Bushmaster and others will work. You might also go to quarterbore's{ he posts here and a member} sight he has a good section on the LL. Try www.quarterbore.com Hth, John.
