Wood Furniture

I couldn't stand it any longer !!! I ordered the Dark Wood, AR set today. It's bad enough to not be able to have a genuine IMI Galil or afford same, bad enough to not have a Tenngalil build and engraving. And a chrome barrel but
when you are lucky and get a sure 'nuff good Golani from you know who and its a trouble free, accurate shooter.......It deserves to look like the real McCoy......

And if I wasn't so damned old and the IDF would have me which they won't, I'd like to bounce some 5.56 off the troublesome moon worshippers there causing so much trouble. I :marines :rifleman may get a chance here bye and bye........

When you do the ARM sets do you plan on doing cheek rests to match?

I received mine today! Put it on and found I had to put a spacer to keep the handguard from moving. It was just a bit loose when I put it on and I used the backside of a velcro strip to make it fit tight. I just cut it out and applied it to the back part of the metal handguard holder(1/8" by 1/4"). It looks awesome! I was worried when it wobbled a bit the 1st time, but I would not go back to the plastic now. It's snug and looks like a $3500 galil now in my opinion :) I'll post some pics this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing everyones pictures!

Tyyamamoto, we noticed that the golanis vary alot in the space allowed for the front hand guard. We had an original IMI guard and when we put it on a golani it really slopped around, we put it on another and it was so tight we could barely get the cam lever to lock down. The same thing was true for the plastic ones, and for the ones we manufactured.

So, from what weve seen its golani variance issue.

ARM and Cheekrests:

The ARMs have just been taken off the machine. We'll start a large run next week. :thumbs_up

There are no plans for a cheek rest at this time.

Did you install the springs in the rear of the hand guard? That is what they are for.

Ha! I had no idea there were springs but I see the holes for them...That would explain the wobble. I was careful taking it down and can't figure out where they would have gone, but nothing is there after a careful search. The fix I made wouldn't be needed based on the spring location keeping it tight in place. Silly me! Warehorse sure is right about the fit being different on the Golani. I have taken it apart many times and had to use a rubber mallet to get the top cover on. Not light taps...Filed down the top cover just enough for a tight fit but no mallet. I can't be happier with his product and recommend it to anyone wanting a sweet look to their rifle. :)
