New vs old fire control groups

OK guys
I have watched several BWE videos RIP Richard….about new and old Uzi trigger groups and what to keep together. If having a presence on your preferred type what would you choose? Also why did they change the design?

I prefer the old style because they are much more common. Almost all parts kits are old style.

As I understand it, they changed it to make it safer on semi-auto to prevent a runaway due to underpowered ammo or very dirty gun.

both of my parts kits I bought years ago had the new type, I think it’s a SA kit since both bolts have a P mark on them. I have an old type that came in a lower I found at a gun show that was really used but I like the look of the Hebrew markings. Perhaps I’ll clean it up and refinish it someday and run it.
