Hi Rick,

First of all welcome to the club.

If you are going to make 10.2" barrels, make them to SMG dimmensions since they are bigger in diameter than semi barrels. You can then turn barrels down as needed for the peolpe who want semi barrels for SBR's. If it is not cost effective for you to remachine the barrels for semi auto's you can always subcontract that out to someone like myself.

For those who may be unfamiliar with this company, they make excellent quality barrels.

I would be interested in a chrome lined subgun barrel if you make them. I think there would be more market for them than the 16" barrels since the subgunners go through a lot more rounds and sometimes use surplus corrosive ammo.

It was the Green Mountain Rifle Barrel Company making almost all the barrels for the Yugo underfolders that AIM surplus was selling.

Sorry for not getting back sooner, Holiday travel & all. For those asking, the price on my web site is $175, so you guys get them at $150 shipped to the lower 48. I know there's a wide variety of Uzi barrel types but went with the 16" first because, well something had to be first and mine & my buddy's Vector's aren't SBR'd yet and that's where the first ones went. I've made semi & full auto styles in 9mm, 45 and a small run in .22 on contract over the years. Our CNC machinery is focused on larger lots so, 100 minimum to keep set-up costs down. You guys have made some great suggestions, I like the sound of the FN type as well. The problem with some of the suggestions, including the FN, is that I don't have any drawings for them. If someone has a barrel that I don't have a drawing for and wants to supply a sample I can reverse engineer, then they get the first barrel from that lot free. Yes, the sample barrel gets returned as well. Feedback on these barrels is greatly appreciated as well. I'm doing this partly because I see a need and mostly because I really like the gun. For those who want to get one of those "Uzi Talk" specials please call Green Mountain at 603-447-1095 ext18 and talk to Kerry. She'll handle the ccard info, etc. The barrels are in stock and ready to go. If you want to send over a barrel to copy email me direct, rsanborn@gmriflebarrel.com.

Thanks
Rick

UZI SMG 3 lug barrel

Rick,
It would be great if you could make a run of full size UZI SMG 3 lugged barrels. I think they would sell out. It would be nice to have one that is not made with a threaded on 3 lug tip but rather made as one piece.
Thanks,
John

WOW
What a deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone please take him up on his offer.
Some one please send him a FNC barrel to copy and that person will get the first one made free!
I know there is a UZI talk member that has a FNC barrel(take off), but I cant remember his name. I think there is even a UZI talk member that made a blueprint of the FNC barrel.
Please contact this guy and lets get some FNC barrels "CHROMED LINE"!

I've got a run of 16" muzzle threaded / chromed in the works but nothing else just yet. All the machinery is running overtime as it is keeping up with contract work so getting my pet projects through is slow at best. I planned on a 10.5" threaded semi-auto for the SBR guys (like me!) as well.

Thanks
Rick

Not only SBR guys. My conversion takes SMG bbls turned down to fit a semi-auto trunnion so that bbl would work for me as well.

Let me know when you make the 10" ones!!!!

Email sent. I'd be interested in a couple of spare .22lr conversion barrels for the Vector F/A SMG conversion kit.

Please keep us posted!

For those guys interested in 10.2" semi-auto SBR barrels. I plan on cutting down a couple 16" barrels to 10.2". If you want, I can cut down a few more. The barrel will be reblued after cutting down. I won't be rechroming so the muzzle wont have the chrome overlap that the 16" does, of course this doesn't effect the chamber & bore chrome. I can thread some 1/2 x 28 as well. The barrels will be the same $150 each for members here as the standard 16". This probably wont happen until after the Holidays and be mid to late January before I get them back from the blueing guy. NFA rules are a must, of course. Sign up on this thread if you want one and we'll compile a list here so I know how many to get done.

Thanks
Rick
