New receivers and shells?

Found these here http://www.nodakspud.com/NDS-1948.htm and had never seen or heard of them before so I thought I'd post em' because they look like relatively fair prices. Considering a receiver channel from GM&T is $100 and these are just $85 for the entire shell, it looks like a decent deal. You can also get them welded or welded and parkerized.

Okay....who is GM&T? I have no idea who that is. I am looking for repair channels or a flat if it exists. Who has repair channels or flats? Its too easy to build one that is already done LOL.

I'm also looking for a good repair channel. I've seen them on Gunbroker with the correct ribs and a taper at the front, but I can't find them. does anyone know where I can get this repair channel?

So nobody knows who GM&T is??:wtf Come on....all the eyes in the forum and nobody has seen any place that has repair sections or 80% receivers? Well good, at least I know it isn't just me LOL:shocked

I think GM&T is Global Machine And Tool, but I dont know where to order a global receiver and I think they are the ones who make the channel.

I think they were selling repair sections that were cut up receivers that didn't make the grade.

GM&T stands for "Global Machine & Tool" (the same company that manufactures the Century receivers) and you can usually find their repair channels on gunbroker, but I can't find any as of now. They are basically a receiver shell with the front and rear ears cut off. Not the crappy, horribly out of spec channels that one-stop-uzi-shop sells.

I've never seen a website for GM&T and I don't think they sell in any amount other than bulk, so as not to compete with their distributors. If what totenkopf says is true then maybe the repair channels we saw earlier were left over from when they were getting production set up?
