Howdy,

I just installed a new barrel from Pike Arms on my semiauto Vector UZI SBR. It fits very tight at the feed ramp ring and I had to gently tap with a rubber mallet to make it go all the way in. It would not bother me too much if it wasn't that it is hard to take it down for cleaning. I tried to polish the part of the barrel that goes into the ring with no success. Note that I shot 60 rounds today with no issue except for a random FTE, all groups very tight. Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

Did you the unfinished barrel? If so, did you cold-blue it?

Barrel was parkerized when delivered. I will follow the suggestion to slightly reduce outer size.

I'd go with turning the barrel in a lathe but instead of trying to peel off .002" (less than the thickness of a sheet of paper), I'd try working it down with a piece of emery cloth held between finger tips.
Running it in a lathe keeps it concentric and you can sneak up on the perfect, just right fit.
Machinist's Tip #8; Cover the lathe ways with a sheet of newspaper or rag(s) to keep any abrasive from settling on them. Same with wiping off the end of the barrel before checking your fit.
