Here is what I got today.
Hello Scott,
We apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, BDU, the distributor of the wide open triggers has yet to deliver our last batch of orders to us. We have been assured it is on its way to us now after the delay and as soon as we receive it your order will be fulfilled. Please, do let me know if you want a refund we can do that. We wish we could get it out to you sooner but BDU is slammed as well.
Best Regards,
Tawfiq - Manager

My response-
Hello thanks for getting back to me. So if I understand this correctly, you sold me a product you showed in stock, charge my card, sent me an email saying my order is being shipped with the tracking number for UPS for an item that you never even had in stock? Could you check with shipping and make sure it is not sitting somewhere and got overlooked. Please let me know if that's the case, would still like to receive products.
Scott Kovacs

Their response-
Hello Scott,
We printed all the labels for the triggers that were allocated to us and we’re going based off of the schedule we were provided. Once we got the information that our package would not arrive on time we had to stop fulfilling and after double checking your order was unfortunately included in that. If you would like a refund as opposed to waiting for that package I completely understand and can process a refund for you today.
Thank you,
Tawfiq - Manager
L&S

So that is where I sit. In limbo.

The fact that they even responded is promising. My experience of late has been that many less than ethical outfits never bother to reply.
I would give them a few more days.
What would be MORE interesting is to know why they've scrubbed their site of the WOT? You would think they would just show it as OOS? If anyone here is a BDU member, perhaps they could check and see if it's shown there? As a non member I can't access their products.

Yeah, that is what I basically responded. Give it a few days and let me know when you receive them and can send me one. If I do not hear from them by some time next week, I will contact them and cancel the order. I am working 12 hour shifts for the next 6 days and would not even get to do anything with it anyway. Realistically, I would probably sit on it without shooting it for a month or so, as I really have no idea where I could even shoot the thing to try it out that wouldn't have a fit blasting at that ROF. Got some steel case WOLF that is begging to run though....

I am a BDU member and both the FRT and WOT is offered for sale..The FRT is currently backordered. Rare Breed has said dont buy the copycat WOT since there is patent infringement.
I had to buy two of the WOT's to test and neither one worked in AR15s that the FRT15 worked in . After a few phone calls they feel that the pins that go thru the unit were undersized and they are sending me
new ones. Its a wait and see. They claimed that the first units had undersized pins that would result in excess play

My feeling is that in light of what Rare Breed is doing as far as the case goes by committing a lot of resources, that we should not buy competitive protects
and continue to be loyal to Rare Breed.

It's pretty complicated. So I've read this iirc so far. The "Expert witness" former ATF examiner / tech branch guy has the real patent, which Rare Breed licensed. Right? How can that expert possibly testify in favor of a product that is licensing his patent? He's got a conflict of interest.

And WOT is just a ripoff?

No. The patent existed a long time ago. The inventor has a very long track record of inventing things firearm related.

So far the people who reported using it said it wasn't working well. WOT now says their first batch had undersized trigger pins. I don't know if WOT has good support on their triggers. It's just too new to tell.

Are you referring to the internal cross pin the trigger, or the stainless looking drift pins that go through the receiver?
I'm not seeing the issue, and what problem the "undersized" pin creates?
Yeah, I guess I'm a bit dense.

So far the owners who report problems say the trigger housing is loose in the lower.

WOT Trigger Issue

If anyone has the silver pins that go through the receiver
and the trigger, WOT says they need to be replaced.
The First batch of WOT had undersized pins according to their tech person.
That will result in play between the WOT and the AR15 receiver.
I am sticking with FRT. I know it works
We need to support Rare Breed and Not buy copycats
Rare Breed is going to bat for us with ATF

What color would the "updated" pins be if you have that info. Do the stock pins not work?

The wrong pins were silver in color and they sent me black ones. They didnt work either.
I spoke to a tech person who said the silver pins were too small so the trigger
would have play
They said the silver ones were too small at .151 and the right pins are .154

KNS offers three pin sizes:

.170 for early Colt Sporters
.154 for everything else
.155 for worn receivers.

Does .151 even make any sense?

.151 makes no sense that was their excuse for the triggers having play and not working
