Call this a new product press release for the "Novem" 9mm.
Been a while since I posted here as I've been very busy.

I have had a lot of request over the years for a 9mm bolt action conversion.
Until recently there really was no suitable action available beyond the hard to find Destroyer carbine.
I am happy to announce that that is no longer the case.
Now doing 9mm conversions to NEW Armscor 22 TCM rifles.
Details at http://www.specialinterestarms.com/index.php?page=novem

Available in several versions both NFA and non-NFA.
Makes a great plinker that is a step up from .22 and an ideal suppressor host.
Being bolt action it should still be legal in even the most ban-happy states. :devil

Interested in feed back, and yes I do realize that it is a Niche item that will not appeal to everyone.

Hell Rich, It appeals to me! I've been waiting years for someone to come out with this!

for us that reload what's the twist rate on the barrels?

I've been using 1-10 as I found a source of excellent quality blanks at a good price.
In stock at the distributors so no long delay in getting them.
Other twist can be done but the barrels will be a bit more expensive.

Had some fun at the range Saturday.
Got to try a screw-on can with the Novem SBR.

A clear difference was heard with the bolt action vs the semi-auto using the same silencer.
When you REALLY want it quiet use a locked breech.

My integral unit was even better, particularly with supersonic rounds.

The first non-NFA version is nearly complete.
9.5" barrel and permanently attached slotted 7" tube ends up at 16.2" when assembled.
End of the barrel proper is 1/2-28.
Expecting that this and plain 16" barrels will be the most popular.
This one got the stock end relieved for the tube, in future I would rather just cut the stock back for less work.

Love the looks of the one with the integral suppressor! Too bad we aren't allowed suppressors in my country :(

Very nice.

I had a Destroyer converted to 9x19 a few years ago. Fun gun, but I probably would have just bought one of yours if they were available at the time.

Well done!

Pic of the finished "Not an SBR" gun.
Buyer may be a member here.
If so I am sure he will have a report once he gets the can put on.

Just did the final test fire with a variety of bullet weights and shapes.
Worked perfectly and even without any sights I could plink pretty well at fifty yards.

Now if I could just find time to shoot the one I built for myself, and take video!

How quiet is the 9mm integral?
What kind of accuracy using 147 grain ammo at 50 or 100 yards?

thanks in advance

It's even quieter than the De Lisle.
Not a huge amount, but enough to be heard when shot side by side.

Accuracy is very good, even my wobbly attempts fit the group around a U.S. quarter dollar at fifty yards on a windy day using a red-dot sight that is larger than the bulls-eye.

Real optics and a younger shooter would cut that group significantly.

Finally got around to building a "Normal" Novem 16" carbine.
Muzzle is 1/2-28 and the AR 9mm birdcage is used as a thread protector since flash is surely insignificant.

Can you build these with no threads on the muzzle and just crown the barrel?
