Good morning,
My lgs had two uzi carbines right now that have my interest. Both are marked model 45 and are action arms import imi guns. One has a folding stock the other has a wooden stock. They are $750 each. They come with only the carbine no box paperwork etc. Niether is in great shape but they both are in 80-90% I'd guess. The problem as I see it is, both are converted to 9mm and the 45 acp parts are not present. My questions are 1. Are these still reliable. 2. How much value is lost by having them converted. 3. Are they still worth $750. 4. Were there parts kits that these might have been made from lowering the value? 5. The rear sights look fully adjustable with thumb screws that I've never seen. Is this ok? Thank you for any and all insight!

Possibly the last of the stripped receiver imports from 2000. So ya they would be snap together parts kits most likely parts from the old VECTOR company as they still sold semi parts to the public then. It's where I got the parts to finish mine.

No value lost and would explain why there is no box or 45 parts.

It is a IMI UZI not a clone like the McKay, UC9, or NORINCO so it has value there.

If the rear sites are not OEM IMI you can always replace them with the correct sites so long as it wasn't a invasive conversion IE: drilled ot welded to make the thumb screws work.

if it were me I'd make a deal on both and be done with it.

Offer $1250 for the pair. If you want, pick the best looking one to keep, sell the other for $750; you have an AA UZI for $500

I think I may do just that except my brother wants one also so I'd just split them with him. The price being so low is what worries me to be honest.

If they are marked Action Arms then they would have been imported as complete guns by AA. An auction site would bring more than $750 IMHO but LGS may not want the hassle. Easier for them to price at a level that the local market can support. All you need is a bolt barrel and magazine to convert back to .45. Given current prices these look like a deal.

Are they NHM Sac, CA marked?

A good number of IMI .45 receivers were built/sold in 9mm configuration....

750 is a fairly decent price.....if you could get a good deal on both, they would definitely be worth picking up.....

Ok, I took another look. The wood stock one is gone. The folder is marked action arms model 45 definitely 9mm. The top cover has four numbers that dont match the serial number. The barrel is marked 89 but no caliber. The lower looks shiny black and doesn't match well. I can buy it for $550. I'm leaning against it because it looks like a bunch of parts someone put together. Any opinions?

I think $550 is a deal. If you are looking for a shooter, that's a great price.
If you are looking for a collector, then pass.

If you don't want it, let one of us know where we can buy it!
