My Reising is finally home after an 11 month wait. I was able to make it to the range yesterday to kick the cobwebs out. I would have to say it performed better than expected. Using a 30 round magazine and S&B 230gr fmj, I experienced 3 stoppages out of 200 rounds. I found it more comfortable and more accurate then the Thompson I have shot. It ran better as well. I know the m50 doesn't get much love in the machine gun world but I truly enjoyed it.

I'm not sure the date of manufacturer? The serial is in the 10k range.

My stamp came in 2 weeks ago and I’ve been messing w mine too

Mine runs 100% with the one factory 20 rounder I have. Ive been working on getting the new 30s running. I had to open the top of the mag to raise the bullet height and tweak the feed lips to raise the angle. Those mags run close to 100% but only if you load 25 rounds

I too am impressed with the gun. No kick, accurate. Muzzle rise is controllable once you shoot it a while. I also find it better to control than my Thompson

Have you had firing pin problems yet ? I bent a pin and broke the top off a titanium one. I filed down pin .#3 per Thompson forum specs to solve the issue. So far no more broken pins

Congrats on your gun.
here's mine...late production

I did get a couple of 20 rounders and one 12 round magazine with the gun. Next range trip I will give them a try. The gun came with 3 bolts, a spring kit, five 30 round magazines and a titanium firing pin.

Did you file 0.030" off the primer side of the pin or the hammer side?

File off the hammer side

When you push the firing pin in to flush you want the pin to be flush in front too

This way inertia makes it work. It cannot break or bend as it’s never touching the hammer and primer at the same time. Took 10 mins to do

It worked on my gun

Maybe wait until you have an issue ?

I installed a few of the Wolff springs. The hammer pin spring started breaking apart on me. I replaced the springs back to factory except for the main spring

If it runs I’d recommend leaving the springs alone.

Thanks for the information! I have a spare firing pin so I might experiment with the oem pin a bit.

If the firing pin bends I would assume the gun would no longer fire?

Mine was stuck over extended out the hole in the bolt.

I think mine happened when I dryfired it before handing it back to my dealer for the 11 month wait

It ran during test fire.

When I got it home 11 months later there it was sticking out the bolt

I agree that They are great shooting guns! I like mine a lot very enjoyable to shoot. I have not had any of the magazine or firing pin issues.
