Since it is fixed sight --I am stuck? The front site is welded 3mm to the left.

I have taken a pair of pliers to MAC sights and sometimes it works and sometimes it cracks and breaks off the front sight.

I should have heated up the metal first.

Send it back. I hear this happens with the Wiselite Strlings as well. The mfg. should stand behind their product and make it right. It sucks but don't settle for less than you paid for.

I am looking at my mac now, and it appears on my Velocity Mac the sight is about 5 millimeters wide. I was going to suggest with a Dremel grinding off 2 millimeters off one side of the front sight post, but it seems this would leave little room for error (and strength).

My question is, do you have a tapped hole directly in front of the post? I do not know what this hole is on mine, but it actually appears dead center, like an actual threaded sight post can be installed here as well.

Contact MPA and find out what your warranty is BEFORE you make any attempts to modify it yourself. SInce it is just the upper, you can ship it back to them for $5-6 in a flat-rate box and have them either repair and refinish it or just send you a replacement.

Find one of these guys to put a set of HK MP5 sights on it for you. You won't ever be sorry.

Probably the best thing to do is see if you can use it as a part trade for a Powder Springs or a JAWS...

I tried tapping mine and it broke off, drilled and tapped it for an AR-15 front sight, dead on now and at least I can elevate with small washers.
