Muzzle brake question

Does anyone have Galil brakes? Apex is sold out of all theirs. Was hoping for something other than the one that came on my golani.

Yes, that's the correct thread, it's a matter of taste and whichever is in stock, it will look exactly like the pic they post, they are very professional.

brakes are a good way to loose your shooting buddies.

It sucks to be next to a shooter using a brake. You get blasted by the gasses coming out of the gun & it is abusively loud. I had one person tell me it was like a hair dryer every time I pulled the trigger on my 7.62 Galil. I now use a brake like the one linked below on all my rifles. All the noise & gas go forward instead of back & to the sides.

Where are you shooting that something like that happens? I almost exclusively head to outdoor ranges to avoid that stuff. Even when I don't there's dividers at the indoor place I shoot.

Any outdoor range you will find this. Take a class where people are only a few feet from each other. At my current range I have had my ears rung by shooters a good 8 feet away. You'll know it when you hear it.

I like the sound of gun fire too. I also wear ear protection. That aside, most brakes are still abusive. :>)

A-holes use brakes on 556 guns. Good way to give your shooting buddies cancer and hearing loss. Nothing like getting blasted in face with all that mercury and other toxic gasses. Absolutely horrible to shoot next to someone with a brake in a class setting where you are all on line together (even outdoors) or in a competition like three gun, especially if you are the RO running the timer.
