New to the mac world and have a question. I bought a brand new MPA mini 9 side cocker. I have not yet shot it. When I try and hand cycle it, it does not kick out the removed round. It just jambs the next round into the bottom of it. I have seen review vids on youtube where people hand cycle it and it kicks out like I think it should, but they may have also shot theirs before also. Is this common? If it ends up needing to be sent back, do you think that MPA would let me send just the bolt?

Thanks

Oil it then take it to the range and shoot it first.

That's ok as long as you make sure you don't double-feed on a live round. What Sparky is describing while hand-cycling at home is indeed a live round on a live round. At the range, if the first one fires and it has a fail to extract and the bolt drives another round into the one still in the chamber, it's a live round hitting a fired case... no big deal. But if you drive a live round into a live round, you have a chance of the nose of #2 hitting the primer of #1 and setting it off. Of course, you've got a semi-auto so it's lower risk... start with just one round and an empty magazine... and pay attention.
