MP5 - Enfield production data

I have just bought an MP5 that was manufactured / assembled in the UK at the Enfield factory, but I am having difficulties in tracking down information on the serial numbers assigned, exactly how many where made there, when they were produced.

Anyone out there know of a good source of information?

PM me your serial number--- information is sparse on these--- I have seen serial numbers between YU00177- YU03967!!!

Hi there - the Serial number is EN 1532

Interesting that there is no YU00 before the 1532!!!

No - checked again - nothing but these markings - but the world Calibre is written as "Kal 9mm" from the German...

Kal. changed to Cal. around 1984!!!

That makes sense as I believe that this MP5 was made around 1975 - it has the original fore-grip, but some of the markings look different from anything else I have seen before.

Does anyone know of any Enfield production records that are public / can be made available for all the types of firearms they produced?
